The Rumpeppers are an electrifying rock and indie-funk outfit rooted in the vibrant Central Oregon music scene. Known for their warm blend of rock, indie funk, and psychedelic textures — and an unapologetic commitment to melting faces and warming
hearts — the Rumpeppers have carved out a reputation as one of Bend’s most exciting and unpredictable live acts.
Formed from the fiery creative spark between vocalist/dancer Zeus Guelfex and lead guitarist Paul Streichan, the band grew out of deep friendship and a shared vision for high-energy, soul-driven performance. That spark quickly expanded into a full-bodied sound with the addition of Scott Kanavel on bass, Joe Martin on rhythm guitar, Logan Anderson on drums, and Will Anderson on vocals — each member bringing their own flavor, groove, and personality to the mix. Together, the Rumpeppers thrive on tight grooves, soaring guitar lines, infectious rhythms, and a stage presence that blurs the line between concert and communal release. Early iterations of the band became beloved fixtures at community stages and local festivals, earning standout moments like their iconic set at Bend Oregon Pride Fest and a growing reputation for shows that feel as good as they sound.
