ABOUT THE TOWER THEATRE ____________________ Since 1940, the iconic Tower Theatre has been at the center of downtown Bend. It has become a hub of the Bend arts and music scene, as well. In 2004, the Tower Theatre was fully renovated and given a new state-of-the-art sound system. It continues to be Central Oregon’s top venue for performing arts. Owned and operated by the nonprofit Tower Theatre Foundation, it seats 460, but with some rows removed, it can host up to 500, if there is dancing. The historic theater provides essential cultural and educational programs that make significant contributions to the region’s lifestyle and the strength of the community.
