Science Pub: Hit the Ground Running

With hundreds of running shoes on the market, finding the right pair can feel overwhelming. Join OSU-Cascades researcher and biomechanics expert JJ Hannigan for a Science Pub talk exploring how running shoe design affects movement, comfort and injury risk.

Drawing on research from the FORCE biomechanics lab, Hannigan will break down what runners should actually pay attention to when choosing shoes for road or trail. You’ll leave with practical, science-backed takeaways you can use the next time you lace up, whether you’re training, racing or just trying to stay injury-free.
