About the Event:
The Raising the SAILS Gala is our signature fundraising and awareness event, uniting community members, supporters, and partners for an evening of remembrance, healing, and hope. This year’s theme, Charting a Path to Healing, supports the expansion of our Pathways to Healing program, offering access to trauma- and grief-informed therapists regardless of a family's ability to pay.

Gala proceeds will help fund therapy referrals, grief recovery tools, and financial assistance to families navigating perinatal loss. With over 750 families served since 2019 and 100 families annually in Maryland alone, SAILS fills a critical gap in mental health support after pregnancy and infant loss.

Program Impact:
- Connects families to licensed trauma- and grief-informed therapists
- Provides financial support for up to 10 therapy sessions per family
- Delivers comfort kits and memorial keepsakes to grieving families
- Hosts monthly support groups and milestone remembrance events
- Trains professionals to offer compassionate, culturally responsive care

Why It Matters:
Pregnancy and infant loss often occurs in silence. Our work combats isolation and stigma, replacing it with empathy, community, and healing.
