Events in Belo Horizonte

As its name suggests, the beautiful ring of mountains surrounding it and the modern skyline makes it a city of beautiful horizon. Praça da Liberdade (Freedom Square) is a hub containing buildings like public library, Government building and Palacio Cristo Rio, all of them makes it a place worth visiting. The next happening spot is the church Casa do Baile with its parabolic, situated at the bank of a lake and surrounded by a garden, due to its unique architecture. Next is the Palacio de Artes which is one of the most inclusive and active centers for the arts, where art shows, dance performances, operas and theatrics are held. The Botanic garden which also houses the National History Museum located in the Santa Inas District is also worth visiting which includes interactive stations and covers mineral, archaeology and botanical exhibits. These attractions along with festivals like the Festival Internacional de Corais - FIC (International Festival of Choirs), Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival (Festival Internacional de Curtas), and the International Short Film Festival make it a city to add to your bucket list.
