See music through new eyes at the 2025-2026 A New Lens concert series!
In addition to teaching here at Powers percussion teacher John Dalton is also an active bandleader! He’ll be bringing his group Spheres of Influence to Powers for an evening of original compositions and jazz standards centered around the beauty of the natural world.
John Dalton’s Spheres of Influence is a modular modern jazz ensemble that plays original compositions as well as arrangements of jazz standards and popular repertoire. Since 2016 they have presented their unique sound at various venues universities and community centers both as performers and clinicians.
This performance will feature Erik Van Dam on saxophone Jim Robitaille on guitar and Evan Palmer on bass.

We welcome anyone who would like to attend! Tickets are free and can be reserved below. We ask for a $20 suggested donation to support the series and our performers.
