Together, they have over 50 years of experience teaching movement and motor skill development to children ages 6 months through 12 years using sports, dance, gymnastics and yoga.Namaste & Play is a Mini and Me yoga and movement class in a fun AND relaxing environment for any adult and child to share on the mat. We combine movement, music, stories, games, and traditional yoga poses (Asana) to improve flexibilty, strength, and balance while strengthening the connection between you and your mini(s). We focus on both getting bodies moving and slowing minds down in a joyful, supportive environment.Our future world leaders, the Sunflowers (24 - 36 months-ish), are now blazing their (more independent) paths in the world, have grown in both agility and balance, and that improved equilibrium and mind/body control will allow us to try out some more advanced Asana (yoga poses), longer meditations, and help to foster calmer minds. We continue to use our yoga songs and games to enhance your Mini's language development.We are very excited to have partnered with St. John's Lutheran Church on Centre Street in Bellmore. Located in a quiet community, St. JLC has ample parking on the local street and a roll-up stroller/wagon accessible entrance and rest rooms. It is the perfect clean, calm, and very "happy to host us" environment.We suggest you bring YOGA MATS for You and your Mini (we will have some just in case). WATER BOTTLES and favorite STUFFIES/BLANKIES for Savasana (meditation). For safety, we also suggest BARE FEET or GRIPPY SOCKS for when we are off of our mats.
