- **Event Name**: Telescopes In the Park - MAY 2026
- **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 23 May, 2026 at 07:00 pm – Sat, 23 May, 2026 at 10:00 pm
- **Event Description**: First Telescopes in the Park event for 2026!
Join us at Boulevard Park for viewing of the Sun via solar filters, the Moon, and any other available targets! Bring your binoculars, a telescope, or try out one of ours.

All ages are welcome, but we do ask that all young astronomers stay supervised and follow our instructions when viewing through the telescopes.

Since all our events are WEATHER-DEPENDENT, check our Facebook page for any last-minute updates! Should the weather become unfavorable for viewing before or during the event, we will update this post as soon as possible to keep you well-informed.

The moon should be in a First-Quarter phase, revealing many craters along the terminator (the boundary between night and day). We could catch glimpses of sunlight pouring over crater walls, illuminating vast canyons and mountains over 238,000 miles away.

We hope to share all these observations with you and hopefully more, weather permitting!
Clear skies!
