Species commonly sighted here include diver winter ducks, red-breasted nuthatch, brown creepers, woodpeckers, and bald eagles.Accessibility Note: We will be meeting at the covered pavilion near the playground, accessible using the east entrance to Lake Padden. After turning off Samish Way onto Lake shore drive, continue driving until you can park near the playground- if you hit the dogpark youv'e gone too far. The entirety of the trail is flat packed dirt/gravel, and there are bathroom facilities at the trailhead.
