Next to Normal centers on a mother who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder and the effects that managing her illness have on her family. The musical addresses grief, depression, suicide, drug abuse, ethics in modern psychiatry, and the underbelly of suburban life.
Auditions will consist of a singing audition of about 60 seconds of a song from a musical in the style of the show. Auditioners should bring sheet music for an accompanist and/or a background track to sing along with on a Bluetooth speaker which will be provided. Callbacks may include reading from the script and/or movement. Come prepared in clothing you’re comfortable moving in.
