This program will be strictly for high school athletes looking to strength train in preparation for their upcoming Spring baseball/fastpitch season. This class is specifically designed with hitters in mind. Each athlete will have an initial one on one session in which we will take height and weight measurements, posture assessments, movement screening and set goals for the winter. Then we will have a small group session once per week where we will progress through an 8-stage program of layering functional strength movements. We will emphasize full body integration, joint health, rotation, and athleticism. The curriculum will include the following:
1. Core engagement/breathing/standing posture
2. Front and Back Fascial Line loading
3. Lateral Fascial Line loading
4. Hinging Patterns
5. Split Stance Patterns
6. Pendulum Movements
7. Dynamic Footwork/Jumping/Sprinting
8. Circuit Training
Upon completing the 8-week program each athlete will also have an additional one on one session as a follow up. This will allow us to recap the program, plan for in season training to maintain gains, and talk about mindset moving forward!
This will be a serious program and require a high level of dedication. I am expecting only the serious athlete to participate.
