He will:Serve as a staunch public advocate and watchdog, reporting on local health care systems' cost, availability, and management.Help readers navigate a complex, often faceless system that can frustrate consumers.Seek out health care-related story ideas from our CDN community.This position is part of the national Report for America program, which places journalists in local newsrooms nationwide to report on under-covered issues and communities.We'd love to tell you more and invite you to be a part of this initiative.Join us for a free event on Thursday, June 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. for a CDN Meet & Greet at Chuckanut Bay Distillery, 1311 Cornwall Ave, Bellingham, WA 98225.You'll learn more about the Report for America program, our commitment to robust health care reporting and meet CDN staff members in person.Appetizers will be provided.
