On Wednesday 12 August, the Alternatives Bookshop will open after hours for a cosy, intimate winter evening of poetry, hosted together with Miindala, to explore the riches of darkness, grief, death and turning inward.

Miindala is a volunteer-led Bellingen organisation that supports people through grief, loss and dying, offering free one-on-one care, community education, and gatherings like the local Death Café. Proceeds from the night go to their good work.

We invite you to bring a poem to share, yours or someone else's that moves you. Otherwise, simply come to listen and support Miindala's wonderful community work. 

Chai and cakes will be available on the night for a small donation. Please bring coins/cash.
