2026 with another pumping bass driven night. A throwback to the past clubbing and rave scene with a very special guest, a local legend DJ’ing under his new name NO FUX alongside residents Coco Varma and Jemka, together the three of us will be bringing some serious dance floor mayhem. Get ready to dance to an amazing oldkool craft clubbing playlist handpicked from the best subterranean sound-systems and bass-heavy rave nights on the planet.
NO FUX
Starting in the late 80s and spanning over 25 years of residencies at Coffs Harbour’s most popular clubs such as Jaggers, Oscars High St, 66 and The Saloon Bar. Always bringing and pushing new sounds and boundaries of club dance music Phil’s (NO FUX) DJ’ing career has always been about his passion for bringing quality clubs sounds and pumping bass lines to the dance floor for the people and for one night. He has dusted off some of the biggest tunes from the 2000 club scene era to relive those nights when phones weren’t a thing and it was all about losing yourself in the atmosphere of a thumping dance floor. A musical journey not to missed.
COCO VARMA
Coco likes to tell sonic stories as diverse as his own musical journey. Starting out at Street Sounds Records working on the first ever Hip-hop album made outside the USA by Faze One to releasing original UK rave anthems as The Altered State (TAS) on the infamous Profile Records home to Run DMC. Coco’s live band, Earthtribe, are originators of break-beat, drum’n’bass, jungle, breaks featuring Bollywood and other global sounds alongside fellow ‘Asian Underground’ artists, State of Bengal, Talvin Singh, Nitin Sawhney and Asian Dub Foundation. Coco’s Sitarfunk and ethnocyberfunk movements played Glastonbury, Womad, The Big Chill and Tribal Gathering as well as regular residencies at London’s Scala, 333 Club, The End, Shepard’s Bush Empire, Ministry of Sound, and Blue Note. Growing up in East London with an enviable record collection Coco has played on the same line up as all the greats from Nile Rodgers to the Prodigy and has produced new works bringing his love of soul, reggae, funk, house, rave, techno, drum’n’bass, breaks and jungle into a new sound – all original – all bass heavy and all live and direct.
JEMKA
From rainforest raves to queer clubs and festival stages, Jemka has been moving bodies since the mid-90s across Byron, Sydney, London and now as a Bello local. Her sets serve up succulently deep 80s boogie and late disco, Italo, early house, synth-wave, chunky indie dance and tough underground grooves with licks of heavy metal, punk, breaks and hip-hop.
As well as being on the current local venue circuit including at The Fed, The Brewery, The Showgrounds, Aanuka Beach House and destination Mid North Coast arts venues, her past festival and special event gigs include River Sounds, Berlin in Bello, Homo Muster, Storyland, Bellingen Beyond Jazz Weekender, Botanica Festival, and Briefs Factory International. Her sets are known for serving up bold and unexpected beats focused on lifting the heart and getting feet stomping.
