GiveAways And a Collection:

Stop flushing forests! This year we will be giving out free rolls of "Savetrees.co" bamboo toilet paper to the first 250 families - to prove that tree-free is the way to be! It's also highly biodegradable.

We are thrilled to welcome back Solutions Plastics, Omaha’s orange bag plastic lumber manufacturer, exhibiting again this year and also sponsoring the give way of 200 boxes of orange bags.

OPPD has donated resusable bags for attendees.

We will also be hosting an EPS Styrofoam collection for Plastilite - they accept clean, rigid #6 block Styrofoam, keeping it out of landfills. They operate a 24x7 recycling drop-off site in North Omaha.

The scavenger hunt is always fun for families to make their way through the exhibit area. The prizes are OUTSTANDING this year!

We are featuring the following exhibits:

🌟NEW this Year! We are pleased to have the Drive Electric EV display in the parking lot, organized by the Electric Vehicle Association ad supported by the Nebraska Sierra Club and OPPD. Both organizations will have exhibits indoors including OPPD’s Mr. E educating on energy efficiency at home. Other new exhibits this year are:

the Lion’s Club featuring an Eagle Scout project

♻️Local Sustainability in Action:

In addition to keeping residential recycling costs down, our city offers yard waste collection, the orange bag plastic collection program, as well as public glass recycling. The city is will also be promoting best practices for storm water run off diversion.

Hillside Solutions has been partnering with Green Bellevue to support the lunchroom composting at Bellevue East and Bellevue West. They will be on hand to keep our event Zero Waste as well as promoting Hillside's Compost Club for Bellevue’s many compost drop off sites.
