Highlights include the ethereal “Lo How a Rose E’er Blooming” by Jan Sandström for double choir, aurally depicting the slow opening of a rose.  Holiday favorites include arrangements of “Silent Night,” “Deck the Halls,” and “White Christmas.”

The evening culminates with the powerful “Illuminare” by Elaine Hagenberg.  Using lesser-known sacred Latin, Greek, and English texts, Elaine Hagenberg’s piece teaches us that although darkness may overwhelm, light will always be restored and illuminate a path to peace.
