During this candid fireside chat, hear from three powerful voices: a trans married couple who will speak about their journeys, challenges, and triumphs and the parent of a transgender person who will share the caregiver perspective, and the meaning of active allyship. Together, they’ll reveal the truths about (micro)aggressions, harassment and violence transgender people disproportionately face, and why understanding these experiences matters.
Because learning about lived experiences different from our own helps build empathy, understanding, and stronger communities. You’ll walk away with a deeper awareness of the importance of:
· Breaking down assumptions – Listen to stories that challenge stereotypes and broaden your perspective.
· Standing up as an ally – Discover meaningful ways to support trans and gender-diverse individuals in everyday life.
· Creating inclusive spaces – Learn how understanding and compassion can change the narrative and help everyone feel seen and valued.
It’s not about having all the answers — it’s about showing up, learning, and building connection through respect and openness.
