This 3-hour class will cover the basics to get you started.About this EventLove crochet and want to give it a try this fall?This class will get you up and running whether you’ve never touched a hook and yarn, or you tried before and gave up.You’ll learn how to hold the hook and yarn and how to get started with a slip knot. We’ll practice in class how to do a chain, single crochet, double crochet and slip stitch. We will cover how to read a pattern and how to choose materials for the project you want to make. You may even leave with a granny square you crocheted yourself.And in case you’re concerned that you’ll forget it all the minute you leave, you’ll have a detailed handout to take home with everything we cover.Class meets for 3 hours. Bring a skein of smooth worsted weight yarn in a light color, and a size 5.0 mm hook. You’ll want your scissors too, and maybe something to write with to take notes on the handout.Please note: we’ll be meeting in a historical building with a tall flight of stairs at the entry point.
