- **Event Description**: SPCC is happy to announce a community effort Beach Cleanup for the sargassum in front of the San Pedro HighSchool beach area as our first Community Event. 

We are aiming to gather as many volunteers as we can and rotate everyone in shifts so nobody is overworked. We will have rotating shifts starting from 8am so feel free to pick what time you would like to participate in the Google Forms Linked below and if you're not sure yet if you can attend we will have signup sheets the day of for those that want to volunteer and help out. 

With this being a Community effort we will work with the equipment we have on hand and take volunteers based on that number. IF we get more donations and sponsors for the equipment then we will make the cleanup group bigger and even extend the cleanup area further than the High School Beach area if possible. 

We are calling all locals and businesses to extend their hand in either volunteering or donating equipment/beverages to make this a smoother cleanup for everyone involved. The more equipment we receive the larger the cleanup area can extend too. If you are a volunteer and have your own equipment you'd like to bring, state it in the forms below. 

To be transparent with the SPCC Community we have received a total of 6 Rakes, 19 Shovels, 2 Wheelbarrows and 2 Pitchforks along with 8 bags of 25c water for our volunteers all thanks to the donations and sponsors from local businesses and locals. We have also received 2 gift coupon vouchers to be raffled amongst all the volunteers that signed and show up so be on the lookout for that at a later date. 

Sign up and show out for our island and lets show everyone what a difference we can make when we all get together and help to combat the sargassum issue .
