The ancient Maya ballgame Pok ta Pok is coming BACK to Ambergris Caye at the Eco-Museum Belize!  This powerful, fast-paced game - played with a heavy rubber ball and no hands or feet  - dates back over 2000 years in Belize. Don’t miss this incredible, annual opportunity to witness our history in action. 

Save the date: Sunday, May 17th - two exhibition matches (one in the evening with fire!) and a day full of tradition, excitement, and community.  Alongside the game, enjoy local artisan booths, delicious Mayan and Belizean food, drinks, music, and more. A cultural celebration you won’t want to miss!   It was SOOOO fun last year.

The Eco-Museum Belize and the ANA can’t wait to welcome the K’iinich Ahau Belize Pok ta Pok team from Yo Creek, Orange Walk, Belize.  The Mens' Team are Mundo Maya CHAMPS (they won last year in Honduras and the Women came in 2nd Place).    The event is a fundraiser for the Eco-Museum, ANA and the Mens and Womens Teams.  We can wait to see you there.
