Or said to yourself, "I don't know what to do with the beautiful art supplies that I have collected"? This beginner course will explore stress-free techniques to build your skills and confidence while creating art in a sketchbook with paints, drawing tools and a variety of papers.

Bring a sketchbook of your choice. (We recommend a sketchbook with paper that is labeled for mixed media use or at least a paper of 98 pound weight. A standard size of 5.5 by 8.5 inches makes it more manageable and portable). All other materials will be supplied, but feel free to bring in any of your favorite writing tools, paints, glue sticks or papers to include in your sketchbook.

About the instructor: Nan Neelley is a mixed media artist who resides and works in Belfast, Maine. She has a longstanding passion for encouraging creativity in others. Her recent workshops include "Meditative Drawing" at Local Color Gallery in Belfast and "Fun with Pattern Repetition and Pamphlet Making" at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockland, Maine.
