EFFECTIVE CONFLICT MANAGEMENT

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT – WORKPLACE SKILLS

NOTE: There will be 2 scheduled short breaks and a one hour lunch break, taken during this workshop.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

TOPICS WILL INCLUDE:

Conflict in the workplace is inevitable, but destructive conflict is not.
This course is designed for people across the sector at all levels to enhance self-awareness in conflict and to develop greater conflict competence in responding to tensions in the workplace.

The course consists of three elements. Participants must complete all three elements, as follows:

  1. An online Conflict Dynamics Profile (CDP) assessment (takes approx. 20 minutes) in advance of the training workshop;
  2. A one-day in-person training workshop (NOTE: There will be 2 scheduled short breaks and a 1-hour lunch break).
  3. A post-training day one-on-one feedback session (approx. 30 minutes).

It was wonderful that the course focused on our own values and behaviours. Having the Conflict Dynamics Profile was very insightful and the half hour feedback session post event was very beneficial. I liked that it was in person and we got to meet others from the creative sector and hear their perspectives.

- Catherine Harte, IMMA

About the organisations

Safe to Create is a cross-sector initiative managed by the Irish Theatre Institute, in partnership with the Arts Council of Ireland, Screen Ireland and Minding Creative Minds, on behalf of the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.

This collaborative programme of supports aims to transform workplace culture across arts and creative sectors in Ireland - promoting dignity, safety, respect and healthy working environments.

BEFORE YOU FINISH!

As part of the workshop booking process, we will ask you 5 questions about your role, your sector and where you are based. This ensures that we are reaching individuals in the arts and creative sectors and helps further tailor our workshops to who’s in the room.

We kindly ask that you take a moment to complete the questions.

We’re proud to offer the Safe to Create suite of training workshops at little or no cost to attendees. However, these sessions do require significant resources to run, so we sincerely appreciate your commitment to attending once a place has been reserved for you. If you are unable to attend a training workshop you have signed up for, please notify us as soon as you can so we can offer the place to the waitlist.
