Every year over 300 people take their own lives in The North of Ireland. Cycle Against Suicide is a movement of people coming together to spread a simple message "It's OK not to feel OK; And it's absolutely OK to ask for help".
On Sat 30th March 2019 Cycle Against Suicide will be coming to Belfast! There's loads of ways to get involved, on or off the bike. The route has been designed for all abilities from first time cyclists to cycling pros and will pass through many communities where suicide is widespread.
The day will start at our host school CBS in West Belfast where we will hear from young people who are promoting positive mental health everyday in the face of adversity. We will cycle to Cavehill where families of those who have lost loved ones will hold a remembrance. Then into City Centre for a quick break, on to Dundonald High School for lunch while listening to local inspirational speakers and back to CBS for some celebrations!
Join us to fight this epidemic and show support to those suffering in our communities, all while having a laugh! All abilities welcome and lots of opportunity to volunteer along the way.
