Block Printing on Fabric with Jordan Kendall Parks

Join us for a quick and easy block printing on fabric workshop with "Portals into Our Future" artist Jordan Kendall Parks. Participants will learn about Jordan's process and will see and use examples of her carved blocks. We will also have Easycarve available for anyone who wants to make a quick custom block. Bring your own functional fabric items like tote bags and t-shirts to print on and leave with some basic block printing techniques and something cool to show off your new skills.

Jordan Kendall Parks is a multidisciplinary artist, printmaker and educator based in Southern Maine. Her work explores belonging, environmental change, and identity through the lens of a Black and Bi-racial femme experience. With a background in outdoor education, Jordan is passionate about connecting communities to Maine’s coastal landscapes. Through hand-carved prints and site-specific installations, she invites others to explore the natural world with curiosity and care.
