Myself, Ray Kinnaird, Ciaran Lyttle and Ben McKenna join forces with Arsenic & Lace and The John Andrews Band for a few tunes and a few laughs at Voodoo on Sunday, January 6th 2019. We look forward to seeing you there!
1. Stephen McCorry
Local singer-songwriter, Stephen McCorry, prefers his plastic soul with shades of melodic jazz but never quite hits the mark. That's why he's rounded up Ray Kinnaird, Ciaran Lyttle and Ben McKenna to do the hard yards for him. Expect to hear diminished chords, a husky voice and undying affection for Dale Watson.
For fans of: Van Morrison / Steely Dan / Dale Watson
2. Arsenic & Lace
Arsenic & Lace are a local five-piece act steeped in Americana and roots-based traditional folk music. Fronted by husband and wife duo, Connor & Sarah Curran, the band is completed by the wonderful Andy Turner on Cello, Mateusz Chmielewski on lead guitar and Ben McKenna on drums. Expect to hear some thoughtful indie-folk songs of events past and present from a pair of earnest, haunting voices.
For fans of: The Felice Brothers / Mark Lanegan / Townes Van Zandt
3. John Andrews Music
Hailing from the east side of the city, John Andrews plays with a swagger, and why wouldn’t he considering the rave reviews of his latest release, 'Johnny Was'. Now backed by a 4 piece band, John has been gigging his songs extensively across the island with his passionate gruff vocal & energetic performances leaving audiences captivated wherever he goes.
For fans of: Tom Waits / Arcade Fire / Richard Ashcroft
