- **Event Description**: 301 Derby Dames Boot Camp is the place to learn how to roller skate, learn about roller derby, build muscle and endurance, have fun, and build relationships with fellow members.
We will teach you everything you need to know: proper skating form and stance, agility, how to properly fall, how to stop, and everything in between that will allow you to become a successful and safe skater.
Our boot camp sessions are run by members of the coaching staff, accompanied by help from the current 301 Derby Dames veteran skaters. Our system is built to develop skaters to their full potential regardless of prior skill or experience. Our league values a collective learning approach and provides motivation, and empowerment to each individual in a safe and positive environment.

Level 1 Boot Camp will be held on Wednesday nights from 7-9 pm at the Charles County Fairgrounds. Total cost for all seven weeks is just $60!

The schedule is as follows:
10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12 and 11/19.
Required safety gear includes: roller derby helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and a mouth guard. We do have a limited amount of loaner gear and roller skates available. If borrowing, you'll need a bandana and a mouthguard.

Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted at the door ONLY if space is still available.
Once you pass Level 1, you may sign up for our Level 2 Boot Camp in January (where we kick it up a notch).
