First Presbyterian Church has been my church since 1968, when my family ,moved to Maryland from West Virginia. I grew up in this church, active in the youth group, the bell choir and all the mission trips and fun things that keep everyone so active in the church. I continue to be active in many ways at FPC. As a former Deacon, I work hard to stay in contact with my wonderful flock of members and friends at FPC. I've been a Sunday School teacher for the last 10 years and I help with as many mission projects as time will allow. I am currently and Elder at FPC, heading up the \"Stewardship and Finance Committee\". So many of our missions are very important to this church. We are in constant need of food for the \"Food Pantry\", the Scheffler House\" has been a safe haven for many families over the years, we have several large give always and meals for the homeless and those less fortunate individuals in the community.
