In this 1-day full session workshop with prominent Egyptian screenwriter Abeer Soliman, participants will get the screenwriting tools they need to write their movie or TV ideas with compelling characters and a story that moves us.

Abeer Soliman is a storyteller & professional screenwriter of countless produced projects in Egypt. She also performs her stories to audiences of all ages and has adapted several literary novels / short stories into storytelling performances. Al Jazeera channel has completed and aired a feature story on her life as a storyteller. She performed at many festivals and held storytelling workshops in Bali / Makasar / Malysia / Tunisia/ Lebanon / Qatar / India / The Netherlands / Austria / Poland. Her short story "My Name is Fattemah" (July 2009), a frank discussion of provocative religious issues and the status of women in upper Egypt, was awarded an international prize for young writers under the auspices of the Anna Lindha Foundation, the UN and IEMED aimed at fostering dialogue amongst the Euro-Mediterranean countries. As a screenwriter, she has conducted and been invited to several workshops across the world. She is also the founder of “Le Caire Pour L'art” company which is specialized in creating, developing and managing multicultural art projects.

Beginner screenwriters - this means, if you've never written a screenplay, or, if you've written a few and want to know much more about the craft of screenwriting.
