Polyrythmic sessions with Ramjahtouré
The polyrythmic sessions are nights of sharing of sounds found around the globe that Ramjahtouré started hosting at Demo bar in 2017. Not particularly ethnic , nor specifically world, nor an anything goes. Sourced in Ramjah's love to find connections and build a flow between sounds separated in time and space, sounds not well renowned that are beautiful to know actually exist. But that is also too much of a generalization, as you probably know the Fela Kuti, the Herbie Hancock, but they might be followed by John zorn, Gabor szabo ,Sabu Martinez and the Orchestre Polyrythmique de Cotonou . The sound selection is mostly building itself around beautifully crafted instrumentals, with screaming vocals that will come out and reignite the fires all of a sudden.Indeed it is one of the cheapest ways to travel.
