About Hugh Foley:
A professor of communications and fine arts at Rogers State University in Claremore, Hugh Foley is also a music historian who wrote the Oklahoma Music Guide, a founding member of the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame, program director at KUSH Radio in Cushing, and a singer-songwriter who emphasizes Oklahoma themes in many of his songs.
Based in Stillwater, Foley is also a co-founder of the folk-rock ensemble, Slapout, who has three albums and two EPs of original music, as well as a Christmas album, The Santa Chair. Foley performs frequently at singer-songwriter showcases around the state and region. Along with releasing a solo album, Vision Drafts, in 2025, he has also been a featured songwriter in Tulsa, Tahlequah, and Stillwater and played songwriter nights in Austin, Nashville, Alabama and Kentucky.
When his loaded schedule permits, Foley enjoys playing solo sets of originals along with familiar covers, and historic Oklahoma songs.
