National Mills Weekend - Open Day

This special day invites history enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors to experience a great day out.

National Mills Weekend is a vibrant event in the UK, where hundreds of windmills and watermills open their doors to the public. For 2026 the theme is "Mills in Time".
There's something for everyone with rural crafts and demonstrations on display, Iron Shepherds Living History Group, woodcraft demonstrations, basket and carving tuition and much more. Guided tours of the mill are on offer and wonderful fresh bread from the hut. Refreshments are available on site. FREE ENTRY.
