Explore the Gardens as autumn takes hold, with a selection of Halloween-inspired activities for younger visitors to enjoy, including pumpkin carving, a ghostly trail, monster crafts and Halloween-themed face painting, available for an additional charge on the day.

For those who enjoy a good story, join Storyteller Laureate Taffy Thomas in the Library for a special programme of traditional tales from his extensive repertoire. Stories include The Magical Orchard, The Princess & The Ogre, The Ghost of Grasmere Gables, The Golden Arm and The Big Red Monster.

Storytelling sessions take place at 11am and 2pm, lasting approximately one hour. Tickets are required for everyone attending, including adults and children.

10.30am – 4.30pm

Child tickets are £12 when purchased alongside an adult Gardens entry ticket. Storytelling tickets are £5 per person.

Advance booking is recommended. A limited number of additional pumpkins will be available to purchase on the day, subject to availability.
