Students will learn how intentional design can support animal welfare and create harmony between wildlife and urban environments. By focusing on a specific animal, from a core list of penguins, monkeys, elephants, or otters, or a self-chosen species, they will research its specific needs and apply that knowledge to design a safe and dignified sanctuary.Over the course of the camp, students will first brainstorm and sketch a preliminary design before beginning to build a three-dimensional prototype using various materials. The following day is dedicated to refining their creations and preparing for a final presentation.
