- **Event Description**: Join us for a culinary experience celebrating the art of traditional tamale making. This demonstration will guide participants through essential techniques, including proper masa hydration and preparation, an overview of red sauce creation, and a look at savory meat fillings. We’ll then walk step-by-step through how to assemble tamales from start to finish.

The first 20–30 participants will have the opportunity to assemble a few tamales themselves. We will also demonstrate how to make fresh chimichurri and salsa fresca, while the tamales steam.

At the end of the session, we’ll serve freshly steamed tamales—one per person to the first 60 attendees. Two varieties will be available: Cheese & Green Chile (vegetarian) and Chicken with Red Sauce.

Come ready to learn, taste, and enjoy a warm, flavorful experience from Marissa Bryson from the Salt and Light Collective.
