Building on the success of 2025's exhibition, Viewpoint is thrilled to announce the return of Plus 1, one of the largest photographic gatherings the Gallery has ever hosted. This year it features 28 artists showcasing more than 60 diverse works, including landscapes, street photography, abstract, documentary, wildlife, nature photography and more.

ViewPoint Gallery has always strived to be a central hub for photographers — a place to learn, practice the art of printing, and exhibit their work. A self-owned and operated gallery, founded in July 2000, we are the only artist-run cooperative in the Maritimes dedicated exclusively to photography. Historically, the only route to exhibiting here involved gallery membership or submitting an exhibition proposal.

We recognized a desire to broaden access and share the opportunity to exhibit at ViewPoint. Three years ago, we launched Fresh Eyes, a program that dedicates a monthly wall to guest artists, enabling more photographers to share their work.
With Plus 1, we've taken that concept and expanded it significantly. We invited our members to collaborate with a photographer of their choice, and the result is an inspiring exhibition on view until August 2nd.
