Let's Dance: Polkas

No partner needed! Come learn community and partner dance styles in this series of classes designed for beginners. Dancers will just need to bring comfortable shoes and a willing attitude. The first rule of dance is to have fun! For adults only. Registration is not required.
*This month's dance style is Polkas. They’re more fun than you think! This class will feature two folk dances: the Pattycake Polka and the Broomstick Polka. In these, participants do a series of similar, simple steps for an energizing community experience. These two styles are “mixers” - dances usually scheduled for the beginning of an evening ball because they are good for getting to know people in casual but intentional way. Danced in a community setting, these Polkas encourage camaraderie among members and built trust between strangers who might become partners for future dances or events.
