- **Event Description**: The England Illegal Money Lending Team (IMLT) has teamed up with Bedford Credit Union to launch an incentive to encourage members of the Flitwick Community Fridge to build up savings so they never have to turn to loan sharks in a financial emergency.
The initiative uses proceeds of crime money, confiscated from convicted loan sharks, to sponsor new credit union accounts.

?The first 50 people to join Bedford Credit Union between 26 January and 8 March through the Flitwick Community Fridge, and save £10 per month for three consecutive months, will qualify for a savings boost of £25!

?Pick up a leaflet at the Community Fridge to sign up for an account, or come along on a Tuesday session to speak with Bedford Credit Union.

The Bedford Credit Union team will be in the Stocksfield Room by the Food Hub on Tuesdays, starting 27 January.  Pop in anytime between 9.30am and 1pm.
