**Tiffany Method Stained Glass: 5-Week Semester**
5 Weeks | 3-Hour Sessions | Optional Week 6
**Week 1: Introduction, Safety & Glass Cutting**
We’ll begin with an overview of stained glass tools, studio safety, and the Tiffany (copper foil) method. Students will choose their design and start cutting glass, focusing on proper technique, accuracy, and confidence with the tools.
**Week 2: Glass Cutting & Grinding**
Continue cutting remaining pieces and learn how to use the grinder to refine shapes and ensure a precise fit. By the end of class, all glass pieces should be cut, ground, and test-fitted, ready for foiling.
**Week 3: Copper Foil & Soldering Foundations**
Learn how to properly apply copper foil to each glass piece. Once foiled, we’ll begin soldering the front of the panel, covering solder control, consistency, and clean bead techniques.
**Week 4: Soldering Completion & Finishing**
Complete front and back soldering, then move on to finishing details. We’ll apply patina, clean and polish your panel, and prepare it for final assembly.
**Week 5: Edging, Hardware & Final Assembly**
Add zinc came edging, reinforce solder joints, and attach hooks and chain. This session focuses on structural integrity and presentation so your finished piece is ready to hang and enjoy.
**Optional Week 6: Open Studio / Extra Finish Time**
Everyone works at their own pace! For students who would like additional time to refine soldering, complete edging, or simply work with extra guidance, an optional sixth session is available. This week is not included in the base course price and may be added as needed, no pressure at all.
We’ve found that offering an optional extra session allows flexibility while supporting individual learning styles and project timelines.

All tools and materials are provided, just bring your creativity and a willingness to learn!
