**Tiffany Method Stained Glass: 4-Week Semester**
Explore the art of stained glass using the Tiffany copper foil method in this 4-week hands-on course. Classes meet once a week for 4 hours, with each session building toward the completion of your own hanging stained glass panel.
Students will choose from a variety of studio-designed patterns created specifically for this class and select their own glass colors, making each project uniquely personal.
**Week 1: Introduction & Glass Cutting**
Learn the basics of stained glass tools and safety. Begin cutting glass for your chosen design, focusing on accuracy and technique.
**Week 2: Cutting & Grinding**
Complete all glass cutting and begin using grinders to refine each piece. By the end of class, your project will be fully fitted and ready for foiling.
**Week 3: Copper Foil & Soldering Begins**
Apply copper foil to each piece and begin soldering the front of your panel using the Tiffany method.
**Week 4: Finishing & Assembly**
Complete soldering, apply patina and polish, and add zinc came edging, hooks, and chain to finish your panel and prepare it for hanging.
**OPTIONAL Week 5: Extra Time to Finish**
If you need an additional day to complete your beautiful creation, we’ve got you covered! Week 5 is offered as optional extra studio time and is not included in the base course price. Should you find that you’d benefit from the extra session, you can simply purchase it when the time comes, no pressure at all.
We’ve offered both 4-week and 5-week formats in the past and discovered that everyone works at their own pace. This optional session is our way of supporting your individual needs while keeping the course flexible and enjoyable!
No experience is necessary, just bring your creativity and a willingness to learn! All tools and materials provided.
