Quilters’ Guild teacher Gill enjoys breaking all the rules with her contemporary style, and the best part is that anyone – yes, anyone – can master her techniques easily! You don’t need to stitch in perfect straight lines or do free-motion quilting to achieve beautiful and striking results. Your finished pieces can be used to create: • Quilts • Wall hangings • Cushions • Bags • Book covers • Table runners • Or anything your imagination inspires! The size of your piece and the requirements you will need to make it will depend on what you choose to make with your creation and can vary in size from 8" square to A3. It really is up to you! During the workshop you’ll learn to have fun with your fabrics using Bondaweb (lots of it!), along with circles and other shapes to create your very own masterpieces. And the best part? No two pieces will ever be the same! Come along, try something new, and enjoy a relaxed, creative day of modern quilting. Good to know: The venue has parking. Upon arrival, park in the car park at the front of the shop. Unload your vehicle into your classroom. Staff will then advise you where to park your car for the day at the rear of the complex. There is disabled parking and ramps allowing access to all areas. There is a disabled toilet. Staff will help anyone in need of assistance. Shop on site selling an enormous range of goods relating to crafting: dressmaking, patchwork & quilting, knitting & crochet, sewing machines and furniture. There is a coffee shop on site called O for Coffee. Attendees at our classes are visited by coffee shop staff regularly throughout the day to take any orders. Anything consumed during your day is sold at a 10% discount. As well as a large choice of hot and cold drinks, the menu comprises savoury choices including sandwiches, paninis, jacket potatoes and soups.
