Join me for a stunning guided sunset hike on the Moel Eilio Loop in reverse, a quiet alternative to the busy paths of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon).
This circular route above Llanberis links three summits, Foel Goch (605 m), Foel Gron (593 m) and Moel Eilio (726 m) offering breath-taking views across Eryri National Park and a true sense of tranquillity.
Perfect for hikers with some experience who want to explore the lesser-known side of Eryri (Snowdonia) under professional guidance.
What to Expect
We begin in Llanberis at 6pm. Times could change depending on group size.
We will climbing steadily onto the Maesgwm loop in reverse, where we will then ascend up a very steep Foel Goch, then onto the open fells, where we will see the sun slowly setting in front of us as we head directly towards it, while crossing a ridge onto Foel Gron and then the last ascent up Moel Eilio, where we will enjoy the final moments of the sunset. We will then descend down Moel Eilio in the dark back into Llanberis.
Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon is visible for most of the walk, this route offers uninterrupted mountain scenery and a quieter, more reflective experience.
I will share stories from Welsh history and mythology, helping you connect with the deep cultural heritage of Eryri.
This is a rewarding mountain day offering both physical challenge and peaceful solitude.
