My NEW Stamina Challenge is an ideal progression from the Welsh 3000s. Have you ever wanted to try one of the major mountain races held in Eryri? This challenge involves technical climbing terrain and steep ascents and descents, but without the running. If so, this is the perfect challenge for you. Put your mountain legs to the test on this distinctive mountain challenge in the stunning Eryri.

The Trail;

Day 1 INFO:  20km Technical terrain 2000m ascent/1900m descent

Meet at Rhydd Ddu 6.45am
Yr Wyddfa Summit 1085m
Y Lliwedd grade 1 scramble 898m
Glyder Fawr 1001m
Y Gribin grade 1 descent to Ogwen

Overnight bunk house stay (shared accomodation)

Day 2 INFO:  20km Technical terrain 1800m ascent/1900m descent 

Leave base at 7am
Ogwen to Pen Y Pass via Cwm Tryfan and the Miners path
Crib Goch grade 1 scramble 923m
Crib y Ddysgyl Grade 1 scramble 1065m
Yr Wyddfa 1085m
Rhydd Ddu descent to return to vehicles approx 9pm

This is perfect for seasoned scramblers seeking a challenge with considerable distance and elevation! Each day spans two ranges and includes a total elevation surpassing that of Mont Blanc. On the first day, after crossing three major valleys, reaching Pen y Pass marks only the halfway point, providing stunning views of the Snowdon massif and Crib Goch, the ridge you'll conquer on the second day. After navigating the steep slopes of the Glyderau, enjoy a well-earned rest, as everything starts anew on day 2!
