     You are invited to participate in a special exhibition:
                    “A Celebration of America 250―
                  Interpreted by Beaver County Artists”
                              July thru August 2026

Artists living in Beaver County are invited to participate in this special exhibition to celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States of America. This exhibition will be held at the Carnegie Free Library of Beaver Falls during the months of July and August, and will accompany a Gala evening that will include dinner live music, an auction and more. See the Prospectus below for detailed information about the exhibition.

PROSPECTUS

SCHEDULE: 

*Art Drop-off: 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 27 on the 2nd Floor of the Carnegie Library of Beaver Falls, 1301 Seventh Avenue, Beaver Falls, PA, 15010
(There is an elevator from the lowest level―side door―to the 2nd floor if needed.)

*Gala: August 29 - ticketed event.  If artists would like to attend the Gala as well, for tickets or information please contact: EVENTS@CFLBF.ORG or (724) 252-7190 .

*Artists’ Reception: Wednesday, September 9th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm - Artists Pick Up Unsold Art end of the Artists’ Reception
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

* All artists must reside in Beaver County. Artists must be at least 16 years of age.
* Artists may submit one or two pieces. At least one artwork MUST pertain to the theme of the show: A Celebration of America 250. Artists are encouraged to provide their own interpretation of this theme.
* There will be a $10 fee per artwork (by cash or check).
* Complete two index cards for each work. Attach one to the back of the work, and the other is for Committee use. Include the following on the cards: Artist’s Name and phone #, 
                                     Title of Work, Media, and Price 
                                     (if piece is not for sale, write NFS)
* There will be a fundraising auction held at the Gala, with proceeds of the auction going to the fundraiser. Artists are encouraged but not required to include one of their
artworks in the auction. There will be a minimum starting bid for artwork. If an artwork sells as part of the auction, it will be considered a donation to the fundraiser.

* Artworks may be for sale or not. A 10% commission will be taken by the library on all sales that are not part of the auction.
* Art must stay in the show through the Artists’ Reception, even sold or auctioned art.
* Awards: Awards and cash prizes will be presented at the Artists’ Reception.
* There will be a free public reception for artists, friends, and visitors, separate from the Gala. 

REQUIREMENTS FOR ART
* At least one artwork MUST pertain to the theme of the show: A Celebration of America 250. Artists are encouraged to provide their own interpretation of this theme.
* All artwork must be suitable for public viewing in a library.
* All artwork will be subject to approval by the Art Show Committee.
* The artworks need not be recent work. Bring your best work.
* The maximum size of hanging art is 36" x 36"
* All media are allowed, including photography and digital art. Paintings must be completely dry.
* Art may be framed but does not have to be, except when needed for protection, as with pastels and some other works on paper that are fragile.
* Art must be prepared for hanging, with wires or other sturdy methods. The artworks on display will be hung on wires from rails.
* 3-D work should also be prepared for hanging. For example, place small works such as jewelry in an enclosed container like a shadow box, wired for hanging. If 3-D work is not suitable for hanging, the artist must provide a pedestal for the art. There will be limited space for non-hanging art.
* Disclaimer: While we will strive to safeguard all submitted work, the Library and Art Show Committee will not be held liable for damage, theft, or loss of artwork. Art submissions constitute an agreement to these terms by the artist.
