Amik Circle Society Display – St. James Township Hall – 1:00 to 3:00
The Amik Circle Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the protection, understanding and public education of the ancient and prehistoric sites found in the Beaver Island Archipelago. The Society will feature a display of the field work of Dr. Terri Bussey and Dr. Jim Sherz – both archeologists. Beaver Island artifacts, photos, maps, brochures and other written materials will be on display throughout the afternoon. Some of these materials will be available for sale to the public.
Beaver Island Stone Circle Rising Time and Again is a publication by M. T. Bussey, printed June 21, 2015. This publication contains Research, Fieldwork, Maps and Photographs of Dr. Terri Bussey’s work on Beaver Island. Available for sale: $25.00

Jingle Dress Dance – St. James Township Grounds - 2:00 to 3:00
Jingle Dress dancing and drumming will be performed by members of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians. Dancing will begin at 2:00 pm.Beaver Island Stone Circle Rising Time and Again – St. James Township Hall - 3:00 to 5:00
The Amik Circle Society of Beaver Island will be hosting a speaker’s forum in the St James Township Hall from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. The forum will be hosted by Amik (Odawa for Beaver) Circle Society Council member Frank Ettawagesik – a member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians. Frank will be leading a speaker panel discussion about the Beaver Island Stone Circle called “Beaver Island Stone Circle Rising Time and Again”.  Members of the Little Traverse Band Bay Band (LTBBOI), as new owners of the Stone Circle, will share their thoughts about the significance of this Circle and other sacred sites in the Beaver Island Archipelago.

Leaders of the Amik Circle Society, who have worked for decades to bring attention to the Stone Circle, will also be part of the panel discussion.

Amik Circle Society Annual Meeting – 6:00 pm
The Amik Circle Society Annual Meeting will take place at the St. James Township Hall at 6:00 p.m. following the forum. The public is invited.
