Manitoba Wilderness Riders – Participation Waiver
​Acknowledgment of Risk & Release of Liability
​By participating in any ride, event, or activity organized or posted by the Manitoba Wilderness Riders, you (the participant) acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
​1. Nature of the Activity
​Off-roading, including the operation of ATVs and SxS vehicles, is an inherently dangerous activity. Participation involves traveling over rugged terrain, including mud, snow, water crossings, and technical forest trails. These activities carry the risk of serious injury, property damage, or death.
​2. Assumption of Risk
​You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:
​Equipment failure or mechanical breakdown.
​Collisions with other vehicles, stationary objects, or wildlife.
​Unpredictable weather conditions and trail hazards.
​Remote locations where medical assistance may be delayed.
​3. Personal Responsibility & Safety
​Self-Reliance: We are a community group, not a formal club. You are responsible for your own safety, your vehicle’s maintenance, and your own recovery gear.
​Safety Gear: The use of helmets and appropriate safety gear is strongly encouraged for all riders.
​Compliance: Participants must follow all Manitoba provincial laws regarding ORV operation, including registration and insurance requirements.
​Sober Riding: The operation of any vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs during group events is strictly prohibited.
​4. Release of Liability
​By joining a Manitoba Wilderness Riders event, you hereby release the group administrators, coordinators, and fellow participants from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action arising out of any loss, damage, or injury that may occur during an event. This includes any claims of negligence.
​5. Image & Media Release
​Participants acknowledge that photos and videos are frequently taken during rides for use on social media. By participating, you consent to your likeness being shared within the community group for promotional or social purposes.
