Women’ s Ministry Celebration Sunday
When: November 30, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM
Guest Speaker: Sis. Valerie Martin of Orange, Texas
I remember growing up in my Father’s church as a little girl, and the impression the women of the church made on me I remember the admiration I felt for them and the disappointment when the Usher would stick that white glove in front of my mouth to spit out my candy or gum 😊 I remember going home and playing church with my friends and shouting like one of those sisters in the church or singing the way they would.
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it”
Maybe, that wasn’t your experience but your mom, your friend’s mom, the woman across the street, a teacher from school, or a memorable act of love and kindness from a female stranger made an impact on you.
The innocence of a little girl can never fathom the things to come in that bridge from little girl to womanhood. Navigating through life can take us through some things we did not expect BUT we remember what we were taught, and if we are blessed with time, we find our way back to our Lord and Savior.
Even in our Christian Journey we experience bumps along the way BUT our God never leaves us or forsakes us, and we can always find our way back resting in His love, His forgiveness, His grace, and His mercy.
Well, this is what Women’s Day is all about. Women coming together supporting, encouraging, showing love to one another, worshipping together, and celebrating our Lord together.
We would be honored for you to celebrate with us!
But, if you cannot attend, please show love to a little girl or another woman. Encourage someone in love and in our Lord,, because you do not know her story, and it may be exactly what she needs. Then your act of kindness will reflect the true essence of our Lord and Savior, and you will leave an impression in the heart of a female as
“A Woman to be Remembered.”
May God bless and keep you is my prayer,
Lady Patricia Hawthorne
