- **Event Description**: Members and prospective members are invited to join the Beaufort Historical Association for the Annual Membership Meeting and potluck dinner, Tuesday, January 20, at 6 pm at St. Paul’s Church, 215 Ann Street.

This year’s meeting will feature special guest speaker, Town Manager Matt Zapp. It’s probable that most members do not know that Matt is a burial ground and headstone restoration specialist. He will share several new initiatives intended to improve the condition of Beaufort’s Old Burial Grounds so the site reflects the respect this cherished historic landmark deserves.

After the talk, awards will be presented to our 2026 volunteers. Since 1986, the Beaufort Historical Association has recognized individuals whose dedication and contributions have helped make the BHA thrive and endure. The Association is fortunate to have hundreds of active and involved people who give of their time and talents.
