- **Event Description**: Bring a heritage craft to life in time for ChristmasAbout this EventLike other thrift rugs, proggy mats (aka clippy mats or rag rugs)were a working-class craft born out of necessity in the 19th and early 20th centuries. They were a cheap and effective way to insulate cold floors. We use the same technique but give it a fabulously festive twist and use the same methods to make a lovely Christmas themed picture in an embroidery hoop. Enjoy a cuppa while you work. This workshop is suitable to any level of ability, for adults and children aged 8 years and above. All tuition and materials are included as well as a cuppa. This workshop is subsidised by grant monies from the UK government, spaces are limited
