- **Event Description**: The UN has named 2026 the Year of the Women Farmer, shining a spotlight on the essential roles held by women in agriculture around the world. To celebrate this and International Women’s Day, we are capping off Wine Education Week with a very special event!

Spend the afternoon with some of the hardworking women growing grapes in Niagara today; hosted by our Vineyard Manager and 2025 Ontario Grape King, Augusta Van Muyen, we are also pleased to welcome organic grape grower and 3rd-generation farmer Heather Laundry, as well as farmer and winemaker Jessica Solanki (Huebel Estates, Liebling Wines) to share their stories.

This experience offers the unique opportunity to taste five wines made from the grapes grown by the women on our panel as you earn about their experience growing grapes in Niagara, and their predictions for where local wines are headed in the years to come. You'll also enjoy delicious bites from Chef Kristina at Redstone Restaurant, each expertly paired to complement the wines served.
