Noted Long Island Railroad historian and author Dave Morrison from the Oyster Bay Train Museum will present a lecture on the history of the Oyster Bay Branch of the Long Island Railroad from Mineola to our very own Oyster Bay!

 He will discuss how this line was the train for President Theodore Roosevelt and reveal the story behind the Bessie/Roxey statue at the Mineola station. Roxey the dog rode the train to Oyster Bay with President Theodore Roosevelt! Another celebration for our nation’s 250th!
